Cork Reiki Level 1 is a return to what you never lost. A quiet remembering of your own healing power. Many Reiki Level 1 trainings exist. The Reiki lineage I teach isn't different. The way I teach it is. You will learn the foundations of Tera Mai Reiki within the Reiki tradition originating with Dr Mikao Usui. You will receive your Level 1 Attunement, learn self-Reiki, traditional hand positions and how to practise Reiki with another person. What makes my training different is what I teach alongside Reiki. As a Reiki Master Teacher, Trauma-Informed Nervous System Coach, and Mental Wellbeing Practitioner, I also introduce you to nervous-system awareness, body awareness, grounding, and self-regulation. I want to be very clear about this: 🔥Reiki and nervous-system education are two different things. I am not teaching that the nervous system explains Reiki. I am not using neuroscience to prove energy healing, and I am not suggesting that every sensation you experience during Reiki is a nervous-system response. Similarly, I don't want you to automatically interpret every sensation as energy. I teach both because the person practising Reiki has a body and a nervous system. If you are working with sensations, intuition and energy, I believe it is valuable to understand some of the ordinary ways your own body responds too. Warmth, tingling, tension, changes in breathing, emotion, numbness, restlessness, activation or a sense of settling can be part of your experience. Rather than immediately deciding what a sensation means, I teach you to become curious about what is happening within you. What does activation feel like in your body? What happens to your breathing when you feel unsafe? How do you recognise overwhelm? What does settling feel like for you? Can you remain aware of yourself while sitting with another person? Nervous-system education gives you another framework for understanding yourself. 🔥🔥🔥 It doesn't explain Reiki, replace Reiki, or change the Reiki lineage I teach. That distinction matters to me. Because I don't only want to teach you what to do with your hands. 🔥🔥🔥 I want you to understand the human being those hands belong to. That is why my Level 1 is called ALL ABOUT YOU. Before you become completely focused on somebody else's energy, you start by becoming more aware of your own experience. Before Reiki becomes something you give, you experience what it means to receive. Hear yourself first. Feel yourself first. Know yourself first. You don't need to be completely healed to practise Reiki or support another human being. None of us is a finished product. What matters is developing greater awareness of yourself, your responses and what you bring into the space with another person. 🔥 WHAT WILL YOU LEARN? Over two full days, I will take you through Reiki from the beginning.
