Bloop Groop: HANG, JAM, PLAY

An evening where electronic musicians + producers of all levels hang out, test out kit, play music - and make pals. Bloop Groop is an evening for electronic musicians + producers of all levels - from the mildly curious to old pros - to hang out, check out kit, make and hear music. New to synths? No problem! Come along, chat, look at the kit, have a can, hear tunes! We're a friendly bunch of all ages, genders, backgrounds and experience levels. The evening: 5.30pm to 6.30pm Saying hi, getting set up, getting going 6.30pm - 7.15pm: Short sharp sets by new Bloopers Break + chats 7.45pm to 9pm: Longer short sets by seasoned Bloopers 9pm - 9.30pm: Break down + chats Then down the pub on Thomas St! There’ll be a mixing desk + PA, so we can play loud. There will also be projectors and talented visual artists making complementary visuals to accompany the music! We coordinate the event on the Whatsapp group beforehand, so please join if you want to be in the gang! We're about connecting, having fun, learning, trying stuff out, and enjoying short performances from newcomers, those returning to performing, those trying stuff out. It's a low-stress, playful, inclusive, warm environment. Bloop Groop #21 takes place in 10-13 Thomas St, The Digital Hub, Dublin City and is brought to you by Caroline Swords and Gary Byrne. This event is fully wheelchair accessible. Bloop Groop is a proud member of FLUX Studios, and the event is kindly supported by The Digital Hub Development Agency.
