Join us for the launch of Sounding Ireland: Radio and the Making of Us by Clíodhna Ní Anluain. Join us for the launch of Sounding Ireland: Radio and the Making of Us (New Island) by Clíodhna Ní Anluain. Marking 100 years of public broadcasting in Ireland, this richly detailed book is both a celebration and a reflection of RTÉ Radio and a century of stories told, voices heard and memories made. It’s the story of how Ireland’s national broadcaster grew from its first 1926 transmission into a powerful cultural force and a trusted national voice - recording our cultural, political and sporting life, nurturing creative talent, and bringing people together for shared experiences that define generations. While this event is free, by making one of your tickets a 'Supporter's Ticket' you will be making a valuable contribution towards keeping future events accessible and towards the sustainable growth of Dublin Book Festival.
