These are plays that challenge, provoke and refuse to play safe - often provoking controversy at their original debut. The season opens with The Plough and the Stars, Seán O’Casey’s powerful portrait of Dublin tenement life against the backdrop of the 1916 Rising, directed by Paul Meade. Experience this landmark Irish play in its centenary year, in the intimate setting of a rehearsed reading.
