Walk Details Distance: Approx. 6–7km Duration: Approx. 2 hours, including stops Difficulty: Easy to moderate Start/Finish: Regatta Great Outdoors, Crescent Shopping Centre, Dooradoyle Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in before we set off. The Walk We’ll meet outside Regatta Great Outdoors at the Crescent Shopping Centre before setting off through Raheen and Dooradoyle, heading towards Raheen Church and Regional United FC. Along the way, we’ll stop to meet a local fitness instructor for a free fitness demo before continuing to Collins Bar, where everyone can enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and a chance to chat. We’ll then head back together to finish at the Regatta store at the Crescent Shopping Centre. The pace will be relaxed and social, with Walking Buddies leaders guiding the group throughout. What to Bring Comfortable walking shoes or trainers, water and weather-appropriate clothing. Parking is available at the Crescent Shopping Centre. Spaces Are Limited To keep the walk comfortable and manageable, places are limited and registration is required. If you book a place, please only do so if you intend to attend so that someone else doesn’t miss out. About Walking Buddies Limerick Walking Buddies Limerick is a friendly community walking group bringing people together through regular social walks around Limerick. Our walks are about more than getting your steps in – they’re a chance to get outdoors, meet new people and enjoy some company along the way. Come with a friend or come on your own – new walkers are always very welcome. The Small Print Photo and Videography Release By registering to join the hike, you certify that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The host and other attendees may film or photograph the event and participants for use on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, and Twitter. By attending, you grant the host and Regatta Great Outdoors permission to edit or alter photographs, provided they are not changed in an explicit or malicious way that misrepresents you or your associates. In giving this consent, you release the host and Regatta Great Outdoors from liability for any violation of personal or proprietary rights connected to the use of these images, including use by third parties on social media. Disclaimer By signing up to attend this hike hosted by Regatta Great Outdoors, participants acknowledge that they are taking part at their own risk. Regatta Great Outdoors and associated parties are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, damages, or losses incurred during the event, including those resulting from negligence. Participants confirm they are physically fit for the activity and are responsible for their own safety, equipment, and medical needs. By registering, participants agree to these terms and waive any claims against Regatta Great Outdoors and its affiliates. I assume all risks associated with participation, including falls, contact with other participants, and related hazards. To the extent permitted by law, Regatta Ltd is not liable for injuries sustained as a result of participation. In consideration of acceptance into the Event, I agree to hold harmless, waive, and release Regatta Ltd, its directors, employees, agents, representatives, service providers, and successors from any responsibility, liability, or claims arising from participation in any activities organised by or on behalf of Regatta Ltd. I confirm that I have read and fully understand the terms of this liability waiver and agree to it voluntarily. This waiver applies worldwide and is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
