RESONANCE IN THE ROOM. La collezione riflette su identità, blackness, eleganza e individualità. È un omaggio al nonno Baïdy Tall, fondatore negli anni ‘70 de La Boule Noire in Costa d’Avorio. Questo era il club cabaret più esclusivo dell’Africa occidentale, e il lavoro di TIDJANE TALL riflette sullo spazio di libertà ed energia creativa che il loacale era riuscito ad avviare all’epoca. Superati i canoni tradizionali, Tidjane trasforma il patrimonio culturale in abiti scultorei: i capelli diventano piume, i ricami raccontano storie, le borse si convertono in collane e l’abbigliamento da sera si ricontestualizza nella vita quotidiana. I capi esaltano i piccoli dettagli e danno vita a un linguaggio giovane, intenso e ricco, articolato con disinvoltura e sottile consapevolezza. In un momento storico segnato dall’incertezza, il lavoro di TIDJANE TALL offre una prospettiva solida e proiettata al futuro, capace di reinterpetare le silhouette classiche fondendo influenze culturali e sartorialità moderna in pezzi espressivi e, al tempo stesso, raffinati. As West Africa’s most exclusive cabaret club of its time, the venue provided a space of freedom and creative energy that TIDJANE TALL reimagines today. Moving beyond traditional codes, Tidjane transforms cultural heritage into sculptural garments: hair turns into feathers, embroidery tells stories, bags shift into necklaces, and eveningwear is reframed within daily life. The pieces highlight subtle details and give shape to a youthful, intense, and rich vocabulary, articulated with effortlessness and quiet awareness. In a historical moment marked by uncertainty, TIDJANE TALL’s work offers a grounded, forward-looking perspective that reinterprets classic silhouettes by blending cultural influences and modern tailoring into expressive yet refined designs.
