Reconnect with Venice: Local Markets, Upcycling & Community

A month-long Venice challenge: guided walks, upcycling, volunteering & artisan discovery — powered by the Venice Hybrid Agenda Reconnect with Venice: Local Markets, Upcycling & Community Spring is the season to move from intention to habit. This workshop kicks off our April series, Spring Sustainable Living Challenge, taking your sustainability plan out of the workbook and into the streets, markets, and workshops of Venice. Over four weeks, you'll build real, everyday sustainable habits through hands-on local experiences — guided by the Venice Hybrid Agenda's artisan routes, farmers' market listings, and sustainable maps. How it works A hybrid experience combining in-person activities with ongoing digital support: • Guided city walks through Venice • Live-streamed demonstrations for those joining remotely • Online community challenges to keep everyone connected • QR-code activities linked directly to the Hybrid Agenda Your four-week journey Week 1 — Local Markets Visit Venice's farmers' markets, meet the producers behind your food, and join a seasonal cooking session using what's fresh that week. Week 2 — Upcycling Workshop Learn to repair clothes, restore furniture, and explore creative reuse — practical skills that cut waste and save money. Week 3 — Community Connections Volunteer with local organisations, join a neighbourhood clean-up, and get hands-on with community gardening. Week 4 — Slow Venice Discovery Walk artisan routes using SMAPS, visit independent workshops, and take on a sustainable shopping challenge. What you'll complete • "30 Days of Sustainable Venice" challenge • A community photo journal • A local business discovery passport • A green habit checklist Powered by GreenerEU This challenge is run in partnership with GreenerEU 2050, using the Venice Hybrid Agenda's network of 100+ local organisations, artisan routes, and sustainable maps to connect you directly with the city's local, sustainable offerings.
