Maju Forest Community Nature Walk

• Warm up exercises to prepare the body and mind before starting • Interactive activities to connect deeply with nature during the walk • Learn about the forest's history and ecological systems, identify and learn about native flora and fauna, and visit the forest stream. • A 2-2.5 hour walk into the heart of Maju Forest, and then along the abandoned Jurong railway line and tunnel bringing us through the forest • Uneven, unmarked and muddy terrain • Experienced nature and hiking guides who will help facilitate and provide assistance if needed Route Details • This route is a different route from our previous Community Walks. It is a much more immersive adventure that will take us into the heart of the forest, with more elevation and technical terrain. Expect to walk and move through foliage, and use your hands for balance and movement. It is still beginner friendly, and might feel intende for those entering the deep forest for the first time • Meeting Point at Clementi Arcade • Start at Sunset Way Entrance • Exit via Bus Stop along Clementi Road opposite Brookvale drive (after the tunnel) What to Bring • Good hiking shoes (Mandatory - The trail is muddy so no sandals) • Umbrella or Poncho (in case of light rain) • Long sleeves and long pants • Insect repellent • Water and snacks • Hat/Shades (Optional) • Hiking poles (if necessary) Event Confirmation Slots are limited, please do not come without registering here. We will contact you on Friday before the event to send you details! Donations This event is volunteer-run, and is conducted on a donation basis. All funds raised will go towards efforts and our activities in generating more awareness for the conservation of Maju Forest. About Us We are a group of adventure seekers, nature enthusiasts, and Sunset Way residents who regularly hike and play in nature in the nearby Maju & Clementi Forest, as well as many other off-the-beaten path trails in Singapore.
