OPEN DOOR — An Intergenerational Exhibition of Nigerian Art Presented by GBLagos Art Gallery, OPEN DOOR brings together six Nigerian artists whose distinctive practices reflect the richness and evolution of Nigerian visual expression. Featuring Bruce Onobrakpeya, Jimoh Buraimoh, Tola Wewe, John Ogbeta, Sanmi Adesiyan and Orowole Oluwole, the exhibition creates a dialogue between established artistic legacies and contemporary perspectives. Through painting, printmaking and mixed-media practices, OPEN DOOR explores the relationships between artistic heritage, cultural identity, experimentation and individual expression. Conceived as an extension of GBLagos Art Gallery's digital collection, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience artworks beyond the screen, appreciating their scale, textures and details while engaging in meaningful conversations about Nigerian art. Hosted at MÌLÍKÌ in Victoria Island, Lagos, OPEN DOOR welcomes collectors, art enthusiasts and the wider public to discover and connect with Nigerian artistic expression.
