Amsterdam Art Week 2026

From 18 to 22 November 2026, Amsterdam Art Week returns for its fourteenth edition. After five years in May, Amsterdam Art Week moves back to November, coinciding with the Rijksakademie Open Studios. For five days, artists, curators, collectors and art lovers from the Netherlands and abroad come together in the city. Alongside the exhibitions, there is a programme of talks, openings and evening events. The week opens on Wednesday 18 November with a unique moment: the Open Studios of the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, the only moment of the year that the studios open to the public. Fifty international residents show new work to collectors, curators, press, and art professionals. A glimpse into the heart of the Amsterdam art world. Thursday is Gallery Night. Throughout the whole city, galleries simultaneously open their doors for new exhibitions, an evening on which the city buzzes. On Friday, project spaces, museums, and corporate collections take center stage. Precisely these places show how broad and varied the Amsterdam art scene is. Saturday and Sunday, the program expands across the entire city: routes through different neighborhoods, programs for families with children, and numerous moments to discover the art in your own way.
