Kill Tony Golden Ticket winner Ric Diez brings his acclaimed new solo show Happy/Sad to Amsterdam. Intelligent, dark and brilliantly funny. Ric Diez: Happy/Sad What if we've never had it so good… …and never felt so bad? Golden Ticket winner from Kill Tony, Ric Diez brings his brand-new solo show Happy/Sad to Amsterdam for one night only. Born in Spain, raised in Brussels and shaped by years performing across Europe and the United States, Ric has spent his life observing cultures from both the inside and the outside. The result is a sharp, intelligent and fearless hour of stand-up that explores the contradictions of modern life. What to Expect From America's culture wars to Europe's quiet decline, from religion and identity to relationships and the endless search for happiness, Ric takes on today's biggest questions with razor-sharp one-liners, dark humour and dry social commentary. Happy/Sad explores the strange paradox of modern life: We have more comfort, more freedom and more opportunity than ever before… Yet somehow we've never been more anxious, lonely or confused. No ideology escapes scrutiny. No country gets a free pass. No tribe is safe. Least of all Ric himself. About Ric Diez Ric Diez is a Spanish-born comedian raised in Brussels in the heart of Europe.
