Virginia Woolf's Classic, in a new adaptation by Imogen Cooper Bird Brain Theatre Presents: Mrs Dalloway A New Adaptation by Imogen Cooper Based on the novel by Virginia Woolf, Bird Brain Theatre’s Mrs Dalloway is set against the backdrop of post-war Edwardian London and follows two characters, upper-class housewife Clarissa Dalloway, and troubled soldier Septimus Warren Smith through a day in their lives. As the play delves into their psyches, it deals with themes of (queer) love, trauma, and loss, and asks such questions as: in a world torn apart, what is it that survives to bond us together?
