Event description Are you passionate about peace and justice? Looking to explore The Hague's vibrant community of professionals working towards a more peaceful and just world? Whether you’re a seasoned professional in the peace and justice sector, a student eager to connect and learn, or simply a curious member of the public, Just Peace Open Day at The Hague Humanity Hub is the event for you! Engage directly with representatives from leading peace and justice organizations. The Hub Café will feature stands from 12 different member-organisations: Eurojust, Windle International NL, First Draft Media, Anna Lindh Foundation, International Development Law Organization (IDLO), ImpactID, International NGO Safety Foundation, Wavemakers United Foundation, Foro Penal, Mediators Beyond Borders Europe, Amnesty International Student Group The Hague, The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL), and Art of Living. • Eurojust – The EU Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, providing tailor-made operational support to prosecutors and judges from across the EU and beyond, throughout the different stages of cross-border criminal investigations. • Windle International NL – Works to foster peaceful development and enable children to fulfill their potential, despite war, famine, climate change, and other factors beyond their control. • First Draft Media – An innovation engine for independent journalism worldwide, helping safeguard and innovate media freedom and further a pluriform, diverse and sustainable media through technology, research, consultancy and publishing. • Anna Lindh Foundation - An intergovernmental organisation established in 2005, that brings together organisations, institutions, policy makers, and other changemakers from all Euro-Mediterranean countries to open a dialogue and cooperate. • IDLO (International Development Law Organization) – The only global intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law to advance peace and sustainable development. • ImpactID - Co-creates software tools with NGOs to strenghten project management, Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (PMEL), and fundraising. • International NGO Safety Foundation - An independent, international NGO that serves as the safety coordination and advisory body to the NGO community and provide daily support to more than 1,000 registered organisations working in high-risk contexts. • Wavemakers United Foundation - A youth-led non-profit foundation working on water sustainability through education, awareness, youth involvement, innovation, job access, advocacy, and enhancing local frameworks. • Foro Penal - Foro Penal is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the defense and promotion of human rights in Venezuela. We provide free legal assistance to victims of political persecution, arbitrary detention, and other human rights violations, as well as support and guidance to their families. • Mediators Beyond Borders Europe - Connects, empowers, and innovates to make community mediators a cornerstone of effective community cohesion across Europe. • Amnesty International Student Group The Hague - The Hague-based student group of Amnesty International that raises awareness for human rights. • The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) - An international organisation dedicated to making justice systems work for people through research, innovation, evidence and partnerships, supporting governments, justice providers and communities to develop and scale people-centred justice solutions that improve access to justice for millions worldwide. • The Hague Humanity Hub – A community and workspace that connects innovators, NGOs, and institutions working on peace, justice, and humanitarian action. • Art of Living - An international organisation that has been recognised worldwide as the absolute expert in breathwork, and that has helped millions of people effectively transform stress and tension into inner peace and clarity. Additionally, during your visit you'll be able to go to visit Partos and HALO Trust in their office at The Hague Humanity Hub. You do not have to sign up for this separately. • Partos – The Dutch platform organisation uniting over one hundred Dutch non-profit organisations, who work on international justice and solidarity. • The HALO Trust – The world’s largest humanitarian landmine clearance organisation, working to remove landmines and other explosive remnants of war to protect lives and restore livelihoods. We welcome you to bring your little ones ages 4-14 to drop by for a creative kids workshop with Colors for Peace. Guided by facilitators, kids will use colors, creativity, and imagination to express their ideas about a more peaceful world. Just Peace Open Day 2026 The Hague is known worldwide as the "International City of Peace & Justice," and almost every monumental building in the city plays a role in building a more just and peaceful world. From the Peace Palace to the Oranjehotel National Monument, the streets of The Hague breathe history! But what actually happens behind those grand doors every day? And how do people working in The Hague help make the world a better and fairer place? That's why the Just Peace Open Day is here to find out! For one special Sunday in September, ahead of the International Day of Peace, Just Peace The Hague and more than 20 partners will open their doors to you for a look behind the scenes and to hear the stories of the people and history behind each institution. If you are planning on visiting more organisations during the Just Peace Open Day, make sure to only book one session in a given time slot. Multiple bookings in the same time slot (at one or multiple organisations) made by the same individual will be cancelled.
