Full description from organizer

PR and marketing in maritime, energy and carbon markets is having to evolve... BLUE and Buoy Communications invite you to the De Rooftop bar, Rotterdam, for a panel discussion on authentic communications in the age of AI, followed by a networking reception. BLUE and Buoy recently announced a new partnership that offers integrated PR, digital and creative support to maritime, energy and carbon organisations in the Netherlands, Benelux and beyond. This is a chance to meet both teams for debate, discussion, and networking. AI now drafts a growing share of what organisations publish, from press releases and LinkedIn posts, and even creeping into the thought leadership content designed to set organisations apart. Is there a danger all content is becoming homogenised? AI is trained on everyone else’s words. So, when a company’s voice is increasingly produced by a model, ‘whose, if anyone’s, brain is really behind it?’ Our panellists – Amie Pascoe, Rhys Thomas, and Katie Dean – and Moderator, Alisdair Pettigrew, will use their combined 50 years of maritime and offshore brand and communications experience to explore where AI genuinely helps in the communications process and where it quietly erodes the judgement good writing depends on. Above all, how organisations keep a voice that is recognisably their own. This event continues the conversation BLUE began in London, and we’re excited to continue this important discussion in the heart of Europe’s maritime and energy markets. As importantly, we encourage attendees to stay on afterwards for drinks with the BLUE and Buoy teams and fellow attendees. Read the key takeaways from ‘Who’s steering?’ in June: https://blue-comms.com/whos-steering-your-reputation-ai-drives-discovery-on-roads-paved-by-pr-2/ By registering, you agree that BLUE Communications and Buoy Communications may email you about this event in the lead-up to 19 November 2026, including panel announcements, timings and venue details. Your details will be shared between BLUE and Buoy for this purpose only. You can unsubscribe at any time.
