Writing Huddle | The Hidden Life of Objects

In this creative writing workshop, we will blend fact and fiction into new perspectives that make you think differently about our university Did you know the Library stores thousands of heritage and art objects underneath your feet? Descend deep into our Library's bowels and find a true treasure trove. What stories will you dig up from the depot shelves during this creative writing workshop? We will blend fact and fiction into new perspectives that make you think differently about our own university. We will use existing objects from the heritage and art collection and start fantasizing and creating from there. What ghosts hide in the paintings of former professors? What would the Golden Calf and the Mars Rover converse about? Together with artist Luuk Wilmering we will explore the need for magical realism. After all, does reality shape us, or do we shape it? Spaces in the Library basement are limited, so make sure to sign up fast!
