Celebrating Cultures Pop-Up: Kids Theatre Performance 'The Girl whose Twin was a Bird'

Through a beautiful blend of puppetry, storytelling, and cooking (yes, puppets who cook!), audiences will experience a joyful, multi-sensory story about family, food, memory, and the special bond between twins. Inspired by Malaysian hawker stall culture and the creator’s own experience growing up as a twin, Bird Bird explores identity, belonging, and the journey of finding your own path while staying connected to those you love. Following the performance, audiences are invited to stay for a special Meet, Greet and Eat experience—meet the puppets up close and enjoy a taste of freshly cooked noodles. A delightful experience for children and grown-ups alike, celebrating culture, creativity, and the stories that bring us together. Suitable for tamariki and whānau.
