Christmas Cookie Canvas A festive celebration of creativity, imagination & edible art! Join us for a few hours of Christmas creativity & connection as we explore the art of festive cookie decorating! We’ll provide freshly baked cookies, colours, icing and a range of decorating tools, festive stamps and other materials. Children will learn to roll, shape and mould fondant before decorating their cookies with their own festive designs. From Christmas trees and stars to patterns, messages, characters and other imaginative creations, there are plenty of possibilities to explore. Whether they enjoy carefully crafting each detail or experimenting with colours, shapes and textures, children will have the freedom to bring their own ideas to life. Each cookie becomes a little work of edible art, ready to enjoy, share or give as a Christmas gift. Christmas is such a lovely opportunity to pause and think about the people, experiences and little things that bring joy to our lives. Alongside our cookie decorating, we’ll explore gratitude, kindness and the many ways we can spread a little happiness to others. Through simple, thoughtfully designed creative experiences, children will have an opportunity to reflect on what they’re grateful for and consider how they might share some Christmas joy with the people around them. As with all Balance & Bloom experiences, these social and emotional learning moments are woven naturally into the session through opportunities for connection, reflection, self-expression and play. Creative Workshop + much more! Alongside our main creative experiences, children can enjoy a warm welcome circle, stories, child-friendly calming practices, imaginative play and thoughtfully prepared creative and sensory activities. There’ll be opportunities to connect, explore and follow their interests, with space to move between activities and enjoy the experience at their own pace. At Balance & Bloom, we value the entire creative process just as much as the finished product. Our sessions combine hands-on creativity with opportunities to develop emotional awareness, nurture creative confidence, practise mindfulness and build meaningful connections with ourselves and others. Creations to Take Home Every child will take home their own collection of decorated cookies, ready to share with loved ones, give as Christmas gifts or enjoy as a festive treat. They’ll also gain ideas and inspiration for creating decorated cookies at home for birthdays, celebrations and other special occasions throughout the year. Come along for some festive fun, creative exploration and a chance to make something delicious! (Gluten free cookies available- just let us know on your booking form) Session Details Location: 216 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Ōrewa Date: Friday 18th December Time: 10am-2pm Ages: Designed for children aged 3-13 years, with adults warmly welcome! Parent & Caregiver Options Children aged 5 and over may attend as a drop-off experience, or parents and caregivers are welcome to stay nearby and observe. Families can also choose an optional Create Together Add-On, allowing a parent or caregiver to join their child in the creative experience and make additional decorated cookies together. For tamariki under 5, a caregiver is asked to remain onsite to support their experience. We look forward to creating with you this Christmas!
