Proudly brought to you by Auckland Council Waste Solutions! Learn the basics of power tools while creating your very own “A” shape stool! Choose the size you’d like to make and, with guidance from an experienced tutor, learn how to safely use tools like drills and sanders as you build your stool from start to finish. Go home with your own handmade stool, made to the size you choose and ready to use at home. Perfect for beginners, this practical workshop is a fun way to build your confidence with power tools while creating something useful. All for just $30! There will be a health and safety briefing at the start of the workshop to inform participants of safety precautions before we begin using tools. Tools that will be covered in this workshop are: a power drill, and sander. All participants must wear covered shoes and non-flowing clothing (tight-ish!). Some work may be outdoors, please wear clothes according to the weather. You need to arrive at this workshop for the beginning of class and the health and safety briefing to be able to take part in the rest of the class.
