Meet the Candidates at Rose Centre - Election 2026

Meet the Candidates Election 2026 | North Shore Hosted by The Rose Centre, Belmont What does a strong, connected community look like — and what role do arts, culture and community spaces play in creating it? Join us at The Rose Centre for an evening of conversation with the candidates standing for election as MP for North Shore. Rather than focusing on campaign slogans, we’ll be putting the spotlight on the things that matter to our community — arts, culture, accessible community spaces, youth, local organisations, volunteering and the connections that bring people together. 🎭 Arts & Culture How can we support local artists, performers and creative organisations? What place should arts and culture have in our communities? 🏘️ Community How do we create communities where people feel connected, included and able to participate? What support is needed for the community organisations and spaces that make this happen? 🌱 Looking Ahead What can government do to strengthen local communities and ensure everyone has opportunities to participate, create and connect? There will also be an opportunity for questions from the audience, giving our community a chance to put their own issues directly to the candidates. Come along. Listen. Ask questions. Be part of the kōrero.
