Our tamariki deserve to grow up safe, supported, and empowered. Join us for this free two-hour workshop designed to help parents, caregivers, whānau, and community members build the knowledge and confidence needed to protect tamariki from sexual harm. Led by experienced professionals from local sexual harm services, this practical workshop focuses on supporting parents and caregivers of early childhood and primary-aged children through healthy communication, and protective environments. What You'll Learn • Understanding child safety, risk factors, and protective behaviours • Creating safer environments at home, in education settings, and in the community • Having open, age-appropriate conversations with tamariki • Supporting healthy boundaries and body safety awareness • Recognising potential safety concerns and responding appropriately • Practical guidance for keeping tamariki safe in digital environments Who Should Attend? • Parents and caregivers • Grandparents and whānau members • ECE teachers, Kaiako and leaders • Primary School staff • Coaches, youth leaders, and community members • Anyone who cares for or works with tamariki Every conversation matters.
