About this event

WILD BLOOM SOMATIC DANCE What will you do with this one wild and precious life? We gather just days after the Spring Equinox, as the Southern Hemisphere crosses from the darkness of winter into the growing light of spring. The Equinox reminds us that there are gifts in both the light and the dark.

Before the bloom there is the seed. Held in moist, fertile darkness. The void of pure potential. Then the first courageous shoot pushes towards the light. What is quietly asking to bloom through you? What do you already know, but perhaps haven't yet had the courage to fully listen to, own or act upon? Wild Bloom is a Somatic Dance journey for those ready to more deeply anchor into their power, brilliance and creative expression and step courageously in the direction Life is asking of them now. Together, we will move, dance, vision and listen beneath the noise of everyday life to what is stirring within. And we remember that this body is not separate from Life. The elements within us were forged in stars billions of years ago. We are, quite literally, made of the same matter as the cosmos. The body knows transformation. It knows how to break apart, reorganise, regenerate and begin again. The idea. The longing. The quiet whisper. The thing you keep returning to. It's time to listen. To own the wisdom you already have. To be bold. To step more fully in. We only get one shot at this wild and precious life. WHAT TO EXPECT Wild Bloom is a two-hour Somatic Dance journey facilitated by Sarah Menlove, with Sarsha Hope DJing, weaving music, somatic exploration and co-created ritual. Somatic Dance is a nervous-system-aware, facilitated movement practice that invites you out of the thinking mind and into the intelligence of your body. There are no steps to learn and no right way to move. You will be guided, but the dance is yours. Through movement, we listen to what the body knows, explore new possibilities and give form to what is ready to emerge. What is wanting to bloom in my life? What am I ready to own more fully? What is Life asking of me now? And we do it together, witnessing ourselves in one another, borrowing courage and remembering possibility. No dance or movement experience is necessary. WILD BLOOM · SOMATIC DANCE Sunday 27 September 2026 · 6.30–8.30pm Te Atamira · Queenstown Tickets from $25 +booking fee With Sarsha Hope + Sarah Menlove Please bring a journal and a pen. SARSHA HOPE Sarsha Hope is the founder of Somatic Dance International, a global teacher-training school and community that she has birthed, built and nurtured from an idea into a body of work that has trained hundreds of facilitators around the world. For more than three decades, her work has lived at the intersection of dance, somatics, the nervous system, spirituality and the courage it takes to bring what we deeply desire into form. Sarsha knows intimately that expansion rarely arrives without fear. At every threshold of growth, the doubting parts have come too. Her practice is not to silence them, but to listen, let them know they have been heard, and continue to step forward with them. One of her greatest learnings is that if your dreams don't make you a little nervous, perhaps you're not dreaming big enough. And if you have a dream and absolutely no idea how it could possibly happen? SARAH MENLOVE Sarah is a Somatic Guide with a passion for creating sacred spaces where individuals can drop their masks and return home to their bodies. Her work focuses on connecting people to their most authentic, free selves, welcoming the full spectrum of the human experience. Through education, nervous system awareness, and somatic exploration, her work allows people to come into contact with the deeper parts of themselves that are longing to be heard and held, inviting curiosity about what is wanting to emerge in their lives from this place of connection. Sarah understands the courage that it takes to challenge conditioned beliefs and carve a new path. Over the last decade of immense change, she has learned to follow the aliveness (even when it doesn’t make sense) and rewrite identities that no longer fit, in order to live in a way that feels true and now loves supporting others to do the same.
