AoJO Improvisation Workshops: Advanced

Hosted by cross-genre performer Oscar Lavën, along with a jazz rhythm section of seasoned professional players, these highly accessible workshops promise to be entertaining and informative, with two levels available, beginner and advanced. This registration is for the advanced workshop. Advanced: The Advanced workshop, while open to all, is for musicians who already have experience with improvisation and jazz playing. The workshop is also for players with more advanced technique looking to dive a little deeper into playing jazz. Participants are offered a practical, in-depth look at playing jazz standards with the rhythm section, a discussion about styles and the tradition, group listening, and hearing further musical perspectives from the members of the rhythm section.
