After the sold out Frank Zappa and Carlos Santana shows. Theo Thompson returns to Wellington Jazz Fest, this time with his own music and killer band, Mantle. Mantle is composed of a jazz trio, a string quartet and a singer. They have been playing together for a while now and have found a unique sound, taking on influences from many different kinds of music. Classical music, jazz music and traditional folk music from around the world come together to tell stories centered around Aotearoa and Pōneke. The music of Mantle is spontaneous, exciting and beautiful. This very special Jazz Fest show at the beautiful St Peters on Willis will not be one to miss!
