‘TONES of SILENCE’ – FUTUNA CHAPEL in BLACK & WHITE - PUBLIC TALKS 2026 The ‘Tones of Silence’ exhibition explores through B & W photography taken with vintage camera and lenses to give another way of viewing and experiencing the Chapel. This exhibition will reveal the tones, textures, composition and forms of the Chapel in black and white with many shades of grey. Step inside Futuna Chapel for three captivating Sunday afternoon talks covering black-and-white photography, heritage architecture, and Aotearoa New Zealand’s built history, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm during the Futuna Exhibition. The Trust looks forward to welcoming architects, designers, graduates, students and interested members of the public to attend these events and support the Trust in its work. The Futuna Trust is a charitable organisation and all koha received from the WHF events will go towards the ongoing care, maintenance and operation of Futuna Chapel and also to support various initiatives undertaken by the Trust. Please register to attend the public talks to ensure you get a seat. Seats are limited. There is no set ticket price. The gift of koha is prefered.
