QIGONG & TEA

As autumn sets in, it feels like a good moment to slow down, reconnect and reset before the end of the year. Join Coast Studio for a relaxed morning outdoors, combining gentle Qigong, flowing movement, herbal tea and conversation. A chance to move your body, connect with others and enjoy a different rhythm of life on the Gaia Coast, where the Douro meets the sea. THE EXPERIENCE Qigong & Flowing Movement Qigong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines slow, flowing movements with breath. Traditionally, it works with qi — the body’s vital energy — through movement, breath and awareness. It’s a simple yet powerful way to reconnect with the body and cultivate a sense of energy, lightness and presence. It’s a beautiful practice to experience outdoors, where we can slow down and connect with the rhythm of our surroundings. Aníbal will be guiding the session. He discovered Qigong and Tai Chi in 2001 and has been practising and teaching ever since. Today, he shares his practice from his own studio in central Porto. We’ll also play with a few gentle Tai Chi movements, simply to experience a different kind of flow. No previous experience is needed. Tea After the movement, we’ll gather on the grass with warm herbal tea and some light snacks, unwind, chat and get to know each other. ABOUT COAST STUDIO I’m creating Coast Studio as a way to bring together some of the things I love — movement, dance, creativity, mindful practices, nature, fun stuff and, most importantly, people. This is the beginning of a series of small gatherings exploring different ways to move, connect, create and experience more of the place we live. Your spot is confirmed once you purchase your ticket.
