. ‘Correct Relationships: Adab is the Heart of Islam’ explores adab — the propriety of comportment, attitude, and conduct — as both the condition and the end of true religious and spiritual maturity. Drawing on the classical Islamic tradition, the seminar traces adab from its root meaning as an invitation to a shared table to its place as the very heart of din: where there is no propriety, there is no ihsan, and where there is no ihsan, there is no propriety. Attendees will gain a clear, practical understanding of why correct relationships — with Allah, with oneself, and with others — are the fruit of adab, and will be equipped to reflect honestly on their own comportment and growth. This session is especially valuable for anyone seeking to deepen their spiritual life through the cultivation of good character, not through outward observance alone.
