Normanskill Barn Clean Outs

Help us clean a barn! Our public programming season runs from late May to early October. Throughout the season, we will clean the barn of last season's sheep and alpaca manure to prepare it for their return in the fall. This manure and bedding can be used in gardens, and you are welcome to take any sheep/alpaca manure with you during these sessions. If you are interested in taking manure with you, please let us know in advance when we email you to confirm your registration. This workday is at Normanskill Farm, but please park in the main parking lot for the Normanskill Hiking Trail and walk to the barn. View directions. Donate: https://friendsoftivoli.org/support ♥ ~ Important Notes: • Unless there are severe storms, the event will happen, so please dress accordingly (rain gear if it's rainy, winter gear if it's the winter, sunscreen, hats, and layers). • In the case of inclement weather, we will contact you to confirm if the event is happening. :) • Please bring anything you need to maintain your comfort working in the garden or trails. • Please note that we require you to provide a cell phone/phone number to reach you. We will use this to contact you on the event day to ensure it's happening, especially in the case of inclement weather. • Ticks abound! Bring bug spray and be prepared! Health Protocol: • Please do not come if you are sick. Stay home and rest! • Participants must be free of COVID-related symptoms. Please note that if you show signs of COVID-related symptoms and cannot attend a session, you can request a refund of your donation.
