Social Impact Saturday - Volunteer + Cookout (November 2026)

Break A Difference is partnering with Hilton Elementary School to refresh the library and brighten the school for its students. This month, Break A Difference is partnering with Hilton Elementary School, a Baltimore elementary school serving students from pre-K and up, to create a brighter, more welcoming space for its students and staff. Break A Difference will provide supplies, facilitation, and tools to support volunteers of any skill level in a variety of projects, including library refreshing and organizing, painting, beautification projects, and other school improvement tasks. No previous skills required! Most of the work, about 80-90%, will take place indoors, so this is a great option no matter the weather. What to wear: Closed-toed shoes are required. Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on. Schedule 9:00am - 12:00pm: Morning shift 12:30pm - 1:00pm: Cookout Location 3301 Carlisle Ave, Baltimore, MD 21216 (map) There is street parking available. About Social Impact Saturdays (SIS) On the last Saturday of every month, Break A Difference's 'From: Baltimore' program hosts Social Impact Saturdays involving transformational volunteer projects in the morning with a cookout to build community and network afterward. Lunch is provided cookout-style at noon. More information about From: Baltimore here: www.frombaltimore.org
