MAX Academy: Navigating Education & Workforce Funding Pathways

Presented by Google and powered by TCSG, join the MAX Academy to learn about Workforce Pell, Regular Pell, the HOPE Career Grant, and More! Workforce providers play a critical role in helping individuals access training, build skills, and move toward meaningful career opportunities. This MAX Academy, presented by Google and powered by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), will provide a practical look at key funding resources including Workforce Pell, Regular Pell, HOPE Career Grant, and WIOA – all of which can help remove barriers and support participants throughout their career journeys. Participants will explore what’s new, what’s changing, and what remains available across these funding opportunities, gaining a clearer understanding of how existing programs and emerging resources can be leveraged to better serve job seekers and learners. Through conversation, real-world examples, and practical strategies, attendees will learn how these funding streams work together, strengthen referrals, and connect participants with the right training and career pathway options. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Through this MAX Academy, participants will: • Discover the purpose and role of Workforce Pell, Regular Pell, HOPE Career Grant, and WIOA in supporting career training and workforce development. • Recognize how different funding resources can address participant needs, reduce barriers, and expand access to training opportunities. • Understand key eligibility considerations, referral processes, and provider responsibilities associated with each funding opportunity. • Explore how workforce providers, training partners, and education providers can collaborate to create stronger pathways for individuals. • Apply funding knowledge to have more informed conversations with participants about training options, career pathways, and available support resources. This MAX Academy will be held at the Atlanta Metropolitan State College (1630 Metropolitan Parkway, SW, Atlanta, GA 30310) - Conference Room A. Come join us for a time of professional growth, networking, and fellowship!
