The Maus Tour Series - The Legends Entombed Within

New tour series for the Fairmount Mausoleum - Meet on the front steps-promptly begins at 11AM *** TOUR BEGINS AT THE FAIRMOUNT MAUSOLEUM***** The hallowed halls of the Fairmount Mausoleum are inscribed with thousands of names, and each of those names contains a story. Join us as we visit the crypts and niches of those whose stories are woven into the history of Denver. If it’s been a while since you’ve joined us for a walk through the mausoleum, we will be visiting the final resting places of several people who have never been included on one of our previous tours. We’ll also give a brief overview of the mausoleum’s origin story and how the building functions, but this tour is ideal for those who already have some familiarity with how mausoleums work or who have visited the Fairmount Mausoleum before. We recommend the first tour in this series, The Making of a Mausoleum, for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the history and operation of this fine edifice. This tour of the Fairmount Mausoleum will start at 11 AM. Please arrive early for checkin - we'll begin the tour promptly at 11 AM. All ages are welcome to join us for this tour. Lives are commemorated – deaths are recorded – families are reunited – memories are made tangible – and love is undisguised. This is a cemetery. Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched. Testimonies of devotion, pride and remembrance are cast in bronze to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life, not the death – of a loved one. The cemetery is a homeland for memorials that are sustaining source of comfort to the living. A cemetery is a history of people – a perpetual record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering always. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Terms and Conditions You agree to the following TERMS AND CONDITIONS with your ticket purchase: Assumption of Risk You understand that your participation in any type of event or activity for Fairmount is at your own risk.
