A Grief Circle for the Words, Boundaries and Voices We Lost Along the Way Hosted by the Denver Deathcare Collective. Where grief is tended and death is sacred. These monthly grief circles at Sakala Community are a compassionate space to hold your sorrow in the embrace of community. This month's circle is for those seeking a communal place to explore the grief that can live in silence. The words we weren't able to say, boundaries we weren't able to express, the times we felt unheard or disbelieved and the experience of losing trust in our own voice. Isabel Ranney of Wild Willow Alchemy will guide us through reflection and sharing about our grief, creating space to explore what was left unspoken and what it might mean to gently reconnect with our voice, choice and agency. Reclaiming your voice doesn't have to mean becoming louder or telling your story publicly. All are welcome to participate in whatever way feels supportive. Open minds and hearts are encouraged. There is no expectation to share personal stories and you are always welcome to pass, listen, write or simply be present. What to Expect Our time together will include: • Grounding to arrive fully in the body and the space. • Reflection on the things we couldn't say. • Sharing what's present, with the option to pass. • Gentle practices for reconnecting with voice, choice and agency. • Space for witnessing, connection and simply being held in community. Who It’s For This month's focus is on the grief of losing, silencing, or struggling to find our voice. This may include grief around experiences of SA, trauma, feeling unheard or disbelieved, lost boundaries, changes in identity or words and needs that we weren't able to express. Grief is interconnected and anyone moving through grief of any kind is welcome here, from the loss of those we love, through heartbreak, identity shifts, illness, aging, collective and ancestral grief, to the parts of ourselves we may have had to silence along the way.
