Haunted History Tour of Bowne House

Get into the Halloween spirit with a nighttime tour of Bowne House, decorated in spooktacular style! Halloween comes once a year, but the dead speak every day at the Bowne House, the second oldest house in New York City. Nine generations of Bowne descendants lived, loved, worshipped, and died within its walls, leaving behind their stories to “haunt” this ground… You’ll begin your tour in the oldest room of the home - built over 350 years ago - and listen along as we “resurrect” eerie voices from the Bowne House Archives. Moving into the next room, we’ll tell you tales of early American folklore and mysterious practices of years past. In our third and final room, discover the macabre history of the Spiritualist movement that swept through the nation in the mid-19th century. Who knows… you may even glimpse the long-rumored Bowne House Ghost! Refreshments & Treats will be served! ---------------------------------------------------------- Date & Time: Friday, October 3rd from 7:00pm to 8:30pm (Doors open at 6:45pm) Location: Bowne House at 37-01 Bowne Street, Flushing NY 11354 Ages: Recommended for Teens and Adults (Attendees ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)
