Sleepy Hollow Awakens: A Washington Irving Remix @ the RISE

Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts presents the 2026 original musical "Sleepy Hollow Awakens: A Washington Irving Remix." Written by Usdan faculty members and performed by Usdan Theater students, this spooky show premiered in July 2026 at Usdan and is back for one night only in partnership with RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns. "Sleepy Hollow Awakens" is a musical mashup of three Washington Irving stories: "Sleepy Hollow," "Rip Van Winkle," and "The Devil and Tom Walker." Blending classical music and hip-hop and pop influences, the show puts a fresh spin on Irving's original tales, casting Katrina as the lead, transforming Rip Van Winkle into a father figure, and adding a cast of exciting new characters! Tickets to the show include access to spectacular RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns, an immersive after-dark experience featuring more than 10,000 illuminated objects spread across Usdan Summer Camp for the Art's 140-acre wooded campus. We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the show’s start time to account for the travel time between the parking lot and the Lucy Moses Theater. The show is also a costume party! Wear your spookiest G-rated costumes, and please leave masks at home. Book by Jim Incorvaia; music & lyrics by Ben Boecker
