DWB November Move & Connect: Essentialism

This month will focus on essentialism: figuring out what actually matters between now and December 31, and what you can close out or let go When: Wednesday, November 18th, 4:00 – 6:30 pm [4:30 kickoff, 5:45+ networking] Where: Open Space Studios What: Our Move & Connect this month will focus on essentialism: figuring out what actually matters between now and December 31, and what you can close out or let go of instead of carrying it into next year. Alicia Jabbar is leading us through it, picking up some of the work we’d planned for October, while keeping the fun, easy energy Move & Connect is known for. More details: Before anything else: we know so many of us are still heartbroken after what happened in our community, and we’re still being gentle with ourselves and with each other. Watching this community show up for those families, and for one another, has continued to be incredible. We’re really looking forward to being in a room with you all in a couple of weeks. This quarter, we’ve been talking about slowing down at the right moments, and that feels more true now than when we first chose the theme. The end of the year has a way of filling up fast, with more asks, more half-finished projects and the pressure to wrap everything up at once. In November, we want to make some room. We’re doing networking a little differently this time. Instead of quick one-on-one rotations, you’ll move through small groups. That leaves enough time in each round for a real conversation and makes it easier to hear each other. Our Ask and Offer board is back too, with time set aside to write yours before the groups start. Come thinking about one thing you need help closing out this year and one thing you can offer someone else. Wine, bites from Bowtie Catering, and good company. Come as you are. Tickets support our venue costs, drinks, and delicious nibbles. If cost is a barrier, please reach out, as we have a few community tickets available. Please spread the word, invite other women* in business, and RSVP via our LinkedIn event! Be sure to follow us on Instagram as well. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon, Deschutes Women in Business *We welcome and support all individuals who identify as women, trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming, creating a space where everyone can thrive and connect.
