B² x Bakar Labs Talent Mixer

The future of biotech is on Cal's campus. Across UC Berkeley's academic labs, graduate programs, and Bakar Labs, there's a wealth of biotech innovators — but they often end up siloed within their own programs. This happy hour breaks the silo by bringing together biotech-curious PhD, MBA, and master's students to meet the startups building the next generation of biotech at Bakar Labs. Last year, more than 110 students registered. Expect a lively evening of intimate conversations, new connections, and the people you'll want to know in Berkeley biotech. IMPORTANT EVENT DETAILS For Bakar Labs Companies: This is the happy hour to be at if you're hiring now or will be soon. You'll meet graduate-level talent actively seeking internships and full-time roles, many of them master's students ready to enter the workforce. It's also a chance to learn which students are interested in your company and build a pipeline for future hiring. Attendee CVs will be shared with Bakar Labs companies ahead of the event, so you can arrive knowing who you want to meet. For Students and Postdocs: We welcome all UC Berkeley graduate students, postdocs, and recent alumni exploring biotech careers, whether you're actively job searching or planning for the future. This is your chance to meet founders and teams at Bakar Labs startups, learn what it's like to work in early-stage biotech, and make connections that could lead to your next role. To complete your registration, upload your CV/resume by 9/30 using this AirTable form. This is required to attend. Resumes will be shared with Bakar Labs companies to connect you with relevant job and internship opportunities, pending availability.
