Sensory & Sound Saturday

Free 15-minute tuning fork sound therapy sessions for autistic and sensory-sensitive children ages 10 and under. Beginning in October, The Clearing Space is offering complimentary 15-minute sound therapy sessions for children ages 10 and under who are autistic and/or experience sensory sensitivities. These gentle, one-on-one sessions use therapeutic tuning forks to introduce sound and vibration in a calm, supportive environment. Each experience is paced according to the child’s comfort level, with attention given to creating a low-pressure space where they can become familiar with the sounds and sensations at their own pace. A parent or caregiver must remain present throughout the session. Children are never required to tolerate a sound or sensation that feels uncomfortable, and the session may be adjusted or stopped at any time based on the child’s response. Cost: FREE Length: 15 minutes Ages: 10 and under Format: Individual, in-person sessions Parent/Caregiver: Must be present Advance registration is required, as a limited number of complimentary appointments will be available. Please note: Sound therapy is a complementary wellness service intended to support relaxation, grounding and a calming sensory experience. It does not diagnose or treat autism, sensory processing disorders, or other medical or developmental conditions and is not a substitute for medical, behavioral, occupational, or mental health care.
