Secrets of the River: Marine Ecology Exploration

A Environmental Walking Tour of the Nissequogue River State Park. This segment is a part of the Secrets of the Park Tour Series Secrets of the River: Marine Ecology Exploration September 5th & October 10th 1:00-3:00pm Join our naturalist on an exciting, in depth, hands-on exploration of our unique marine ecology. During this hands-on event we’ll learn about and investigate the beautiful fish, weird and wild crustaceans, and other fascinating creatures that live on our shoreline. Participants will learn about the interesting lives and habits of these unique saltwater inhabitants while using a variety of exciting collection and observation tools. We’ll get wet, so wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Be prepared for educational fun! Recommended age: 8 and up. This tour meets at the administration building/park office! RAIN OR SHINE (except in the case of severe weather)
