Secrets of the Woodlands: Forest and Field trail Exploration

A Environmental Walking Tour of the Nissequogue River State Park. This segment is a part of the Secrets of the Park Tour Series Secrets of the Woodlands: Forest and Field trail Exploration October 3rd & October 24th 1:00-3:00pm Join us on an exciting, in depth, walking tour of our woodlands and meadows at the park. A trained naturalist will identify and discuss the animals and plants found at the park. Participants will learn to recognize types of trees and other plants, interpret animal signs, and understand how unique our local ecosystem is. We’ll be very active so wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Be prepared for educational fun! This tour meets at the administration building/park office! RAIN OR SHINE (except in the case of severe weather)
