Teacher Appreciation Sip & Shop: Build Your Classroom Wish List

An evening for local educators to sip & snack and create classroom wish lists our community can shop from all holiday season. 'Tis the season for giving, and we want to give back to our educators! Join us at the Bookstop for an evening just for educators, complete with complementary snacks and sips. Browse the shelves and build a dream classroom wish list that we will feature on the Teacher Wish List Wall. All season long, parents from your school and the community at large will be able to shop from your list of specifically chosen titles. Small Business Saturday kicks off the Teacher Wish List Wall The Teacher Wish List Wall goes live on Small Business Saturday, November 28, our biggest day of the year for celebrating local shopping, and will stay up through the end of the year. The Wish List Wall will be located conveniently next to our in-store checkout, and every buyer wil be encouraged to review it for a supporting purchase. Tell your friends, PTA/ PTO, and your classroom families to stop by that day (and all season long) to see your list and purchase a book for your classroom. How it works 1 - Pick your books During the Teacher Appreciation Sip & Shop, select books for your classroom from the store. Something you want to add but we don't have? Ask a bookseller if we can order it. If we can, add it to your list! 2 - Our community gifts them to you Starting on Small Business Saturday, customers can place orders to fulfill your wish list. 3 - Boxes ready for return to school Customers will be able to shop from your list through the end of the year and your classroom box of donated books will be ready in early January (we'll email you!) 4 - Help your list get noticed After the event, we’ll send you a shareable graphic for your classroom families, saying, “My classroom wish list is at Itinerant Literate Books.” Parents looking for a teacher gift will know exactly what you want, and every book they buy supports an independent bookstore in their own community!
