The Gathering: A Peace of Mind Project

A two-day, culturally grounded experience where Black men can exhale, reconnect, and find Peace of Mind —in this lifetime. The Gathering is a two-day, culturally grounded experience where Black men can exhale, reconnect, and find Peace of Mind —in this lifetime. On November 6–7, we invite Black men to step away from the pressures of everyday life and enter The Gathering: a welcoming, affirming, and culturally informed space dedicated to mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. The Gathering is rooted in what we know: • Black men will show up for one another. • Healing is possible in community. • Vulnerability is not only achievable—it is welcomed. Throughout this two-day experience, participants will engage in communal mind-body-spirit practices that may include restorative yoga, storytelling, journaling, ritual, contemplative arts, experiencing nature, bearing witness, and beholding Black art. We welcome fathers, sons, brothers, uncles, mentors, and community members who are ready to invest in themselves and one another. When Black men experience greater peace of mind and emotional well-being, that impact extends to their families, communities, and the young people whose lives they shape. The Peace of Mind Project delivers culturally grounded well-being experiences designed to deepen Black men’s capacity to experience peace of mind—in this lifetime. Join us for two days of rest, reflection, culture, connection, and collective healing—because Black men deserve peace of mind in this lifetime.
