Kiln Salon: Art Beyond the Museum

Cleveland has no shortage of great contemporary art, and you don't have to set foot in a museum to find it. Join us for an honest, accessible conversation about how to engage with contemporary art on your own terms, in your own city. Casey Monda of Casey Monda Art Advisory and Lisa Kurzner of Abattoir Gallery bring two distinct perspectives to the table: one rooted in curatorial expertise, the other in helping everyday collectors navigate the art world without intimidation. Along with moderator Todd Thompson, they'll explore everything from building connections with contemporary art spaces and artists in Northeast Ohio to trusting your own eye when it comes to building a collection. Expect a frank and welcoming conversation for art lovers at every level. No curatorial background required. Light appetizers will be provided, along with a cash bar.
