Bringing Georgian cinema to Atlanta, one screening at a time. Come for the film, stay for the people. Our first screening: Blue Mountains, or An Unbelievable Story (ცისფერი მთები, ანუ დაუჯერებელი ამბავი) Directed by Eldar Shengelaia, this beloved Georgian satire takes us into a publishing house where everyone seems busy, meetings never end, and somehow nothing gets done. Funny, absurd, and surprisingly familiar, Blue Mountains captures something that goes far beyond its Soviet-era setting. Decades later, its observations about bureaucracy, responsibility, and the difficulty of getting things moving remain remarkably relevant. But this evening is about more than revisiting a classic. It's an opportunity to laugh together, meet fellow Georgians and friends of Georgian cinema, and reflect on the stories that still connect us, wherever we live. Film language: Georgian, with English subtitles. Admission: Free, with registration required.
