Garifuna Settlement Day at Zanzi | Culture, Dinner & Live Music

An intimate Garifuna cultural experience celebrating Settlement Day through food, live music, storytelling, entrepreneurship and community On November 19, we gather for more than a night out. We gather to honor history. We gather to celebrate culture. We gather to remember the journey of the Garinagu — and to create space for the next generation to carry that culture forward. Welcome to Born on Settlement Day, an intimate Garifuna heritage dinner and cultural experience at Zanzi. Hosted during Garifuna Settlement Day and the birthday of Adelis, this evening serves as the cultural opening to a larger weekend centered around heritage, community, entrepreneurship and the Afro-Diaspora. While Garifuna culture is at the heart of the evening, everyone is welcome. Whether you are Garifuna, Caribbean, African, Afro-Latino, African American or simply someone who appreciates culture and community, we invite you to experience the music, food, history and energy of the Garifuna people.
