About this event

An in-person Atlanta meetup for exchanging perspectives on work challenges.

Full description from organizer

Bring a work challenge, swap perspectives, and leave with fresh ideas at this in-person Atlanta meetup. SECOND OPINION ATLANTA: A Professional Problem Exchange Sometimes the person who sees your problem most clearly works nowhere near your industry. SECOND OPINION ATLANTA is a small professional exchange built around one simple idea: Bring one real professional challenge. Let other people help you see it differently. Instead of another networking room organized around job titles, elevator pitches, and random introductions, attendees work through real professional questions in small four-person groups. You might bring: • a business offer you are reconsidering; • a client process that is not working; • a career decision; • a project that has become too complicated; • a partnership question; • a growth challenge; • a marketing problem; • an operational bottleneck; • a leadership decision; • a product question. You do not need to arrive with the answer. You do not even need to leave with a final answer. The goal is to leave with: • a better question; • a different perspective; • an assumption worth testing; • one clearer next move. This is not consulting. It is not coaching. It is not a pitch event. It is a structured peer exchange built around professional perspective. • 6:15–6:30 PM - Check-In + Problem Card Confirmation Attendees receive: name badge; Second Opinion Sheet; table assignment; Problem Card reference. Priority Case attendees receive any relevant host-prepared material. • 6:30–6:40 PM - Welcome + Exchange Rules Host explains: Case Owner structure; Master Timer; Perspective > Prescription; privacy boundaries; table rotations; Double Opt-in Follow-Up. Brief example: Instead of: “You should change your pricing.” Use: “One question I would test is whether the problem is actually the price or how the offer is being framed.” • 6:40–7:05 PM - Exchange One: See the Problem Each table works through: Case A + Case B Approximately 11 minutes each. Prompt: What are we actually looking at? • 7:05–7:30 PM - Exchange Two: Challenge the Assumption Each table works through: Case C + Case D Approximately 11 minutes each. Prompt: What assumption may be limiting the way this problem is being understood? By the end of Exchange Two, all paid attendees have received one Case Owner opportunity. • 7:30–7:40 PM - Reset + Decision Notes Intentional reset. Guests may: get water, coffee, tea, or sparkling water; use the restroom; review their Second Opinion Sheet. Each attendee records: one perspective worth keeping; one assumption to test; one unresolved question. Organizer prepares the cross-industry rotation. • 7:40–8:05 PM - Exchange Three: New Eyes Attendees move into new four-person groups. This round does not repeat the entire case. Each person briefly shares: the original challenge; the most useful perspective received; the remaining question. Prompt: What would someone outside your original table notice, question, or test next? • 8:05–8:15 PM - Personal Next-Move Sheet Each attendee completes: WHAT CHANGED? What perspective changed how I see the situation? WHAT NEEDS TESTING? Which assumption needs evidence? WHAT WILL I DO NEXT? What is one action I can take within seven days? • 8:15–8:35 PM - Open Connection Window Guests may continue conversations with: someone from their first table; someone from New Eyes; another attendee they met during the event. This is professional follow-up time. It is not a mass pitching period. • 8:35–8:45 PM - Close + Follow-Up Instructions Organizer explains: Double Opt-in Follow-Up; digital resources; privacy; 7-Day Decision Check-In.
