Habitat Management at Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve

Come connect with nature and make a meaningful impact on our local environment at Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve. Trails traverse the varying terrain of the Westchester Wilderness Walk/Zofnass Family Preserve, over rocks and under trees that sway in the breeze. Frogs leap into the protective waters of the red maple dominated wetlands, while owls hide in cavities of trees, their watchful eyes seeing everything. More than 400 species of plants and trees live in the preserve, and this habitat complexity is what gives this place the magic and awe that captivates visitors. WLT staff are proud to work here and call this our preserve, and we invite you to join us for an afternoon of habitat improvement work.
