enCompass: A Comprehensive Training on Navigating Addiction. Addiction is a misunderstood disease that is frequently stigmatized in a way that other chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease are not. enCompass includes in-depth, science-based information about substance use disorders and addiction, treatment options, communication strategies, self-care tips, and more. Leading researchers and physicians in the addiction field, as well as individuals in recovery and impacted family members contributed to the development of this training. What will you learn? • The signs and symptoms of addiction • How to start the conversation • Getting an assessment and treatment options • How to set healthy boundaries • How to access recovery support Who should attend? • Families, Friends, Caregivers • Clergy • Law Enforcement & First Responders • Employers • Educators • C ommunity-Based Service Providers CEUs Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services has been approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board to offer continuing education credit hours to Counselors and Social Workers (Provider #RCS111304) and the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board to offer recognized clock hours to Chemical Dependency Counselors and Prevention Professionals (Provider #50-17863) and has approved this training for 6 hour of CEUs. (C1, P2) Other licensing boards may also accept these hours, however it is the attendee’s responsibility to establish this prior to attending.
