Positive Action Curriculum Facilitator Training (Sept 28-30, 2026) INPERSON

Presented by Carolyn Peterson, Positive Action Intended Audience: Prevention Specialists, Curriculum Coaches, Pricipals, School Counselors, and other professionals working with students K-12. In this three-day, in-person Train-the-Trainer, participants will learn the core curriculum including the prevention and bullying modules. The session will include orientation training, a deep dive into the specific curriculum products, and a teach-back session. Two hours of coaching via webinar with trainees before conducting their first training is also recommended. Positive Action is an evidence-based program with a unified and coherent approach to social-emotional learning, health behavior, and learning readiness. It is founded on the philosophy that “We feel good about ourselves when we do positive actions, and thereʼs a positive way to do everything.ˮ The Thoughts-Actions-Feelings Circle depicts this process: thoughts shape actions, actions influence feelings, and feelings reinforce thoughts — a selfreinforcing cycle that drives decision-making. Other licensing boards may also accept these hours, however it is the attendee’s responsibility to establish this prior to attending.
