DBT Beyond the Therapy Room (09-28-26) IN PERSON

DBT Beyond the Therapy Room: Practical Tools for Providers and Caregivers is a in-person workshop designed to help mental health providers, caregivers, and support persons better understand Dialectical Behavior Therapy concepts and apply DBT-informed skills in everyday situations. Participants will learn practical strategies for supporting emotional regulation, responding effectively during moments of distress, strengthening communication, using validation, and maintaining compassionate boundaries outside of the clinical setting. Through discussion, real-life examples, and skill-based practice, attendees will leave with concrete tools they can use to support loved ones with greater confidence, consistency, and care. **Montgomery County Ohio residents (or those working in the county) and those in the surrounding area will be given preference** CEUs Montgomery County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services has been approved by: the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board to offer continuing education credit hours (Provider #RCS111304 and RTX012515) and has approved this training for 7 hours (continuing) CEUs; the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board to offer recognized clock hours (Provider #50-17863) and has approved this training for 7 hours of CEUs (C2) (P2). Other licensing boards may also accept these hours, however it is the attendee’s responsibility to establish this prior to attending.
