Creating Videos That Connect: Plans, Partners & When to Do It Yourself

Josh Miller of AMS Pictures will talk how to scope video projects, what a vendor would need, and when to decide to do things in house. Most internal videos don’t go wrong in the edit, they go wrong much earlier: a fuzzy goal, a script trying to say six things at once, or an approval chain as clear as mud. Josh Miller of AMS Pictures will walk through how experienced comms teams scope video projects, what a production partner actually needs from you to do its best work, and how to decide what belongs in-house and what belongs with a vendor. Expect candid examples from real productions, including where projects drift off course and how to catch it before it costs you. A short segment will include how to create your own video from a production standpoint: which equipment to consider and tools to ease the process.
