The training plans, fueling guidelines and recovery advice built on that research were handed to women as though they’d fit. They often don’t. Uplift Boulder is hosting Dr. Stacy Sims, the exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist whose work changed how athletes and coaches think about female physiology. Her message is simple: women are not small men, and they shouldn’t train, eat or recover like them. What you’ll learn • How hormones across the menstrual cycle affect performance, recovery and fueling • What changes in perimenopause and menopause, and how to adapt your training to them • Why common advice like fasted workouts and low-carb diets can work against women • Practical ways to train smarter and fuel better at any age or stage
